Maria Prokofieva and Aksana Stahievitch started their musical study in Minsk (Belarus). They studied at the Belarusian State Academy of music with Valery Shatsky and Zoya Kacharskaya, and recieved Bachelor of Music degrees in 2004.
Aksana and Maria came to The Netherlands to study further at Amsterdam Conservatorium and idea of creating a Piano Duo came later by itself.
Since 2009 MApiano Duo is playing concerts in different podiums of the Netherlands and Belarus.
The repertoire of Duo constantly widens and consists mostly of the four hands pieces. The repertoire list you can find here.
MApiano Duo has been selected to represent Stichting Muziek in Huis during concert seasons 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 at different podiums of the Netherlands.
